Christmas Fun!

I feel like I haven't sat down for WEEKS to write.  So much has gone on in the last few weeks.

We are doing well however struggling with getting back into the swing of school.  We are on week two and I feel like I'm still dragging to get up in the morning.  But we are getting through it!  Two more years until I really have to get up early- early morning seminary- so I shouldn't be complaining.  Although I really think I will pass the buck on to Andy at that point ;)  Love you honey.

First off we really enjoyed our visit from Andy's parents.  It was really nice to have them around for the holidays.  We love having family!  The kids loved every minute of them as well, particularly Samantha.  She is such a hoot that girl.  I'm not sure going to the grocery store will ever be the same after the ride Grandpa Hart gave her!

Good times had by all.

We went down to the Ford's on Christmas Eve and played games, made music with the bells and opened a few gifts.  I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have family close by.  We truly love having them just an hour away!!

We had a wonderful celebration of the Saviors birth filled with all kinds of gifts- too many gifts.  It started off with sourdough and pumpkin pancakes with our favorite buttercream syrup (seriously YUM).

We opened gifts, ate some more and got a few new toys tangled....seriously amazed that we can cause two flying contraptions to get caught in two girls hair within two hours of each other.  TALENT.  That's all I have to say.

Tyler received a racetrack controlled by it ipod touch.  Pretty fun stuff! (so fun that Dad had to get in on it!)

Audrie received her coveted American girl doll.  She was THRILLED.  Kaylee got a really cool winged scooter, but clearly was longing for what Audrie got (story of the younger sisters life right?  But let it be known she got an american girl doll last Christmas.  No deprivation here.  That is certain.)

Tyler and Andy both received these remote controlled flying contraptions.  They are to blame :)

All in all it was great!  We continued our tradition of giving the Savior a gift of working on something we struggle in- each personal and individualized.  We wrote them down a couple weeks before Christmas and put them under the tree.  Then we opened those gifts first remembering what we were going to give to the Savior.  Hopefully it helps them remember the true meaning of Christmas to some degree.
