Lake Houston State Park
This was such a surprise to see such beauty in Houston. I really had given up on "outdoorsy" type of family fun. But I was pleasantly proven wrong. There were bugs, but no mosquito's that I saw, or felt, but mostly cool weather, a lovely breeze and the freedom that comes with the outdoors.
Family Hike
Andy decided it was high time for some Saturday morning FUN! So we packed up and went about 40 minutes north to a State Park Called Lake Houston. It was SOO much fun. The kids loved being liberated from their nagging mother saying, "stay together, hold hands, please don't touch that." Despite the tick that ended up in Audrie's hair I'd say I'm almost ready to do a real camping trip! Call me crazy, but there is something to getting out in the outdoor air and just absorbing the creations of God. I truly enjoyed myself.
