Cami was in charge of the cake. No easy task for a 40 week pregnant woman :) I tried to help any way I could, but mostly just watched. I did help with the flower arrangement, but that was the easy part. I thought it turned out just beautiful. Who knows what it would have looked like if I ended up having to do it all (I was the backup in case the baby came early).
This was right outside the Temple. Most of us sisters look a bit goofy in this picture...in fact Jami and I both have our eyes closed, oh well cute anyway.
I just thought this was a cute picture of the three of us, Mom, Me and Cami. Isn't Cami just glowing in this picture?
Grandpa Whicker had this crazy idea to ask me to dance with him to a FAST song. I'm not sure he realized how absolutely uncoordinated I was, but he quickly found out. We were the center of attention for a song and a half and I'm sure I won't live that one down for a long time. As "uncomfortable" as I was dancing (if you could call it that) in front of everyone, I will forever cherish that sweet memory.

Preschool Graduation
Here is sweet Audrie receiving her preschool diploma. As they came up the teachers said what each child wanted to be when they grew up. I remember Tyler saying he wanted to be a firefighter when he "graduated" from preschool, and that fell along the lines of what most of the children in Audrie's class said as well. Except Audrie. Her teacher said, "When Audrie grows up she wants to be The Queen." We may have called her princess one to many times...but it's fine by me. She's gonna be a queen if I have anything to do with it. It may not be exactly the type of queen she has in mind, but I'll do everything I can to make sure she receives that eternal title.
Audrie with Ethan. They are best buds and have truly enjoyed one another. Audrie seems to like having a boy-friend where ever she goes. I think it's pretty dang cute; plus it says volumes about her love of her brother.
Mrs. Rejeck and Mrs. Clark were her teachers this year. Audrie just adored them and they were truly awesome. I just pray she will get the right teacher in Kindergarten.

How does your garden grow?
Here is my garden. I planted really early this year (late February). Every year I am always kicking myself for not doing it earlier, simply because of the heat. So this year I finally did what I knew I should have been doing all along. These pictures were taken about a month ago, so not quite up to date. We have a flourish of tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, squash and cucumbers. Our peas were AWESOME this year, never had success with them before, but I think this years success was only due to planting so early. They don't like the heat and have since withered away and been pulled. We harvested all of our onions last week, and they are wonderful. I am hoping to make and can salsa this year once all the larger tomatoes ripen. If you have any good recipes let me know :) I love being self reliant!

Mother's Day
Ok so every year at preschool they do these sheets for Mother's Day and Father's Day. I LOVE THEM, they are my favorite part of the preschool year. Anyway, here is what Audrie had to say about me. It just tickled my heart. I love seeing a glimpse through their innocent perspective.
Choosing the Right and Zebra Wars

A couple of things real quick. First off above is Tyler’s story he wrote for school. Notice the title was changed to “Zebra Wars.” Can you tell we’re a bit into a certain sci fi movie?
Also, I have to tell you about something Audrie said the day before yesterday. She is always saying, “We don’t believe in Satan, do we Mom? People who litter and don’t do the right believe in Satan, huh mom.” In which I usually reply something about how most people don’t worship Satan, they just don’t remember to choose the right all the time. So the other day she started going on her usual monologue, “Some people believe in Satan…" Then she deviated a bit from the norm, "but if I ever believed in Satan, I would change…” she became quiet, thought for a moment and then got really serious and LOUD and said, “I would change and believe in God! And then I’ll NEVER QUIT!! I’ll NEVER QUIT!” I wish you could hear her almost 5 year old voice with such determination and a sense of absolute seriousness. It was SO CUTE.
Both of those just tickled my funny bone :)
