Here is my garden. I planted really early this year (late February). Every year I am always kicking myself for not doing it earlier, simply because of the heat. So this year I finally did what I knew I should have been doing all along. These pictures were taken about a month ago, so not quite up to date. We have a flourish of tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, squash and cucumbers. Our peas were AWESOME this year, never had success with them before, but I think this years success was only due to planting so early. They don't like the heat and have since withered away and been pulled. We harvested all of our onions last week, and they are wonderful. I am hoping to make and can salsa this year once all the larger tomatoes ripen. If you have any good recipes let me know :) I love being self reliant!

I have some awesome canning books... I should drop them off to you. I am jealous about the garden.. it is beautiful Tara! February and late September are good planting months. Last year I got 3 cycles from our garden. I usually make sure to let some overripe vegis rot in the garden and then they will pop up new plants.
Way to go!
