Volleyball

We had a good week this week, a little stressful for me, but over all good.  I think I told you all I was delegated the assignment of “coach” for Audrie’s volleyball team, which was super exciting for Audrie, but not so exciting for me L  It’s not that I don’t think it would be awesome, I think it’s really fun, it’s just bad timing and more on my plate than I would like!  So now I am coaching their little team on Tuesday’s for practice and Saturday for games.  Audrie rocked it in her first game on Sat, definitely being one the better players on her team; although this is the least competitive sport we have been a part of simply because it’s the first year any of the girls have played.  ANY contact with the ball is good…in or out, over the net or under, it doesn’t matter!  If they hit it we are whooping and hollerin J  Hahaha.  Lynds, if you have any tips on drills for volleyball I would love some advice!

Sam has been such a hoot lately.  Yesterday while eating dinner she did the funniest thing.  She has a GREAT imagination and catches us off guard everyone once in a while J  I caught her messing around with her cup of water (spilling it all over the place), but after seeing what she was doing I started cracking up!  She is just like Kaylee in her imaginary play.  She just needs her hands to pretend and she is magically in her own little world. The video catches it all, check it out.
Also her is a little insight into our morning routine, specifically this morning’s conversation that went along with our morning routine.  During the week after returning from our bike ride to take Kaylee to school Sam and I go directly to the kitchen table to eat breakfast.  After serving whatever it is we are eating (usually a bowl of cereal) we have a silly banter every morning that goes something like this:

Me: "We better say prayer before we eat!"
Sam with a half smile and silly tone: "No Mom, I don't want to…"
Me: "We have to honey because Heavenly Father wants us to talk to him and we need to thank him for the food."
To which she always replies with eye brows up, wide twinkling eyes and a huge smile, "Ok Mom!" And goes immediately into saying her prayer.

Today was a little different than normal.
I poured her cereal and she said, "Mom we better say prayer first!"
I said, "Yes, we better!"
She replied, "Yeah, because Heavenly Father wants to talk to the food!"

She is catching on to something :)  Oh, I am still giggling about it.

Andy and I made it to the temple this week (Carole, we did two of the names you sent us, specifically the one that was TOP priority…do you want us to send the finished ones back to you, or does that matter anymore?).  It was wonderful to see the changes in the endowment J  That was the first time we had seen the new video and it was great.  Thoroughly enjoyed our time together.

It has been lovely here the past couple of days…unseasonably cooler than normal.  LOVE it.  Although it’s beginning to be allergy time again and several of the kids and Andy are struggling with them.  Ah, the joys of allergies J  Time to be regular with the allegra again!
