It’s funny because I just feel so exhausted from Sunday,
ALWAYS and exhausting day. I was talking to Andy last night about how it
never is a day of rest….in fact it is the most exhausting day of the week a lot
of the time! I think it is because it is not only physically taxing, but
spiritually taxing as well. I had to teach my first truly impromptu
lesson yesterday! I prepared during second hour, so it wasn't as
impromptu as it could have been J
We could have combined, but I felt really strongly that we needed to get real
specific and that I needed to be really frank about a few things. It was on how
our words can affect others. Anyway, hopefully they got
the message! I don’t know why girls are so prone to that! One of
the talks in the lesson was really good and would be worth listening
to/reading if you have time this week. Very applicable to family life,
including marriages. (click

Audrie started her volleyball league this past week.
She really enjoyed herself, but was discouraged because her teammates aren't
very good right now. I told her to give it time and to just have
fun! Hopefully it won’t cause negative feelings later on. She is
doing well at school and still finding success.
Tyler is doing well with his studies, but struggling with
some of the middle school peer pressure. He really struggles with fitting
in and worrying about what people think. We will be doing a family home
evening lesson on “words” and why bad ones aren't a good thing…A few extra prayers
on his behalf would be appreciated J
On another note he sang in sacrament meeting yesterday with all of the other
senior primary boys. He did fantastic, although he wouldn't look at the
audience, but the fact that he went up there was so great.
Kaylee is doing well. We had a few nights with
accidents, but she seems to be getting back on track. She’s done fine the
last 3 nights, so I hope we continue to progress!!
Sam is going to start a little joy school group this week,
so she will be thrilled with that. She loves nursery and going to the
gym, so any interaction with friends would be really good for her.
Cami and I made a quick trip to see Kemarie and her little
family Sat evening (plus Aunt Diane). She lives in between Cami and I so
we met at her house. She fed us dinner and we chatted for a while, but
her kids were needing to go to bed, so we left after about an hour and
half. A few days prior I had been thinking about how it would be so great
to get all the Texas family down for Thanksgiving. I mentioned it to Cami
and Kemarie and they both thought it was a good idea…Cami had even been
thinking about it before as well. So I think I am going to invite all the
Cloward’s, the Whiting family and the Ford family. I don’t know if they
will come, but it would be worth a try J
BTW, this is what I have to deal with when doing homework with Audrie. She handed me this worksheet and said with a sigh and as innocently as possible "I have one worksheet left..." (imagine princess syndrome with one hand on her forehead). I then grabbed her worksheet and saw the note glued on there, looked at her sharply with eyebrows raised and said, "Audg. Where did this come from?" To which she replied quickly, "It's from my teacher mom"- short pause- "REALLY." (Please see pic)
Oh I just giggled and giggled. She must think of me DAFT. She definitely tries, and it seems I have
heard some mischievous stories from her dear father's side….can we say ANDREW
BLAIR???
