So the dreaded day has come. The crib has been put away and Kaylee spent her first night in her new bed. You know she'll be three in July and she had NEVER, not once, ever climbed out of the crib? Compared to my other children that was miraculous in and of itself. Well we are going to start potty training so I decided it was a good time to transition into a bigger bed before we got serious about the toilet. We have SUCH a good routine and she sleeps SO good in her crib I dreaded upsetting such a beautiful balance....but upset that we did.

If anyone knows me they know I NEED SLEEP, I mean unusual amounts of sleep. In college I would go to bed at 10:30pm with earplugs in because I could not function on less sleep than 8 hours. Well, last night I didn't get eight hours....and this is what Tara looks like on little sleep...a little on edge, or some may (heaven forbid) call "grouchy." Needless to say Kaylee didn't do so hot in her new bed. Despite the efforts with the side rail she fell off 4 times (I never knew the bottom of the bed was such an issue!) and cried and cried because of the shock. So after numerous consoling sessions and endless anxiety she still woke up at 7am. Andy, being a little more logical decided sleeping on the trundle may have been a better idea and thus (above) for nap time she did much better. (Granted it was the middle of the day when he was analyzing the situation) Did I mention she is still sleeping? It's been 3.5 hours. Yeah. Tonight is going to be fun too...but I'll try to be positive. It will be better :)

I have tried a million times to leave comments on different post of yours but my computer never lets me. . .we'll see if this works. Your Kaylee reminds me of my Anna, just from the pictures they seem like they would have similar personalities. . .too cute! I am amazed she was even able to fall out of bed! It didn't look like there was much room on the sides!
don't ya think one day in heaven that mothers will receive a special gift for all the lost sleep? i think so.
