So our day started out with a bunch of plans...go to the bank to cash our insurance check, get family pictures, take kids to the primary activity, etc. So we get to the bank, they take us through a 30 minute process and then tell us the right person to sign it off isn't there on Sat's. So we struck out there. Then later on we get all ready for family pictures (even getting Kaylee's hair in pigtails which was quite the task), drive to the studio and they tell us 5 groups are ahead of us, not one, but 5!!! Of course my next question was, how long is the wait...they said approx 30 minutes (which sounded way too good to be true). As we sat down a lady next to us leaned over and said, "We had 5 people in front of us and we've been here for almost 2 hours." Strike 2. We canceled and left. Our brilliant idea was to run home, get the tripod and digital camera and see if we can take our own family picture. We got all set up and the camera took 2 pictures before it died. Strike 3.
