Just to Clear Things Up....

Sunday's are always quite busy for the Hart family, but this Sunday seems to be among the more memorable. Right after Sunday school let out, the fire alarm in our brand new building started going off. No one really thought anything of it, but after a minute or two the alarm became unbearable and and we started ushering people outside in the hot, humid Texas air. As they finally were able to locate the correct key to turn off the alarm everyone began coming back into the building. As they came in a kind sister told me my dear Tyler was sulking off in the corner...why you ask? Well apparently he was apart of this fire alarm fiasco. He was MORTIFIED, completely embarrassed....but for those of you why may be thinking, "what a stinker" let me educate you.
Little did I know that if you even budge the clear plastic covering on TOP of the alarm it will set off a building alarm. That is exactly what Tyler did. He was waiting to go into Primary and the alarm being at his shoulder level he accidentally bumped it. His teacher quickly responded and tried to get the alarm to go off, and accidentally pushed the REAL fire alarm trying to turn off the building alarm. FUTURE REFERENCE: just close the plastic covering and it will turn off the building alarm. I had no idea, and I'm sure 95% of people at church wouldn't know either.
Tyler never made it back to class. He was so embarrassed he went home in tears. Luckily after some serious consoling he has been convinced that it was a GOOD thing because we've never had a fire drill and no one knew where their kids were once they were outside. Consequently the ward is going to make an emergency plan for the building. So I say GOOD JOB TY! We needed a good fire drill :)

I would have been embarrassed too! It will make a good story and he'll look on it in that light eventually.:)

Bless his heart! I felt to bad for him. I'm glad we could turn it into a learning lesson.

Ahh poor little guy. I found it all quite entertaining and gave Brad a hard time about his teachering skills during the break.

Hunter stood by him the whole time! At least their stories match!

That's too funny! Poor Ty! But now you'll all be prepared for a real alarm one day! :)
